My favorite part of WOW is the social time.

I can move better after doing (instructor's name, exercise description, class name, or just WOW exercises)

From Patrick, our new volunteer short video producer:

I hope everyone is having an amazing July day. As we work to increase engagement and grow our online presence, I want to share an exciting initiative we're kicking off at WOW: creating YouTube Shorts.

What are YouTube Shorts? YouTube Shorts are brief, engaging videos lasting between 15-60 seconds. They are designed to quickly capture viewers' attention and drive engagement, making them perfect for encouraging people to subscribe to our channel and participate in our sessions. Effective Shorts often include clear visuals, good sound quality, and a strong call to action.

Content Ideas for Video Shorts:  (these are just ideas thrown together, nothing below is a "formal" video type for us

  • Short clips of participants explaining how WOW has positively impacted their lives.

  • Demonstrations of participants' favorite exercises.

  • Testimonials focusing on different demographics (e.g., age groups, conditions).

  • Testimonials specifically talking about health improvements.

  • Comparisons of chair exercises vs. traditional exercises.

  • Sharing what motivates you.

How to make a Video Short:

  • Start by writing a short script for yourself. It only needs to be a couple of sentences. Practice it until you can repeat it easily without looking at it. Remember it has to be short.

  • Use your phone camera and record it as many times as you want. Then click the Upload Button and send it to us or use the email button to email it to us.

  • Or try using CANVA to record your own through your browser. You'll have to set up a free Canva account and agree to let it use your camera. Save it and upload it to our page.

  • Join us after any live class and ask for a video recording session.
